Rhinoplasty

What is a

non-surgical

rhinoplasty?

Until recently, if you were unhappy with the shape of your nose, the only option available to you - was surgery.

Using high quality hyaluronic acid filler and the latest techniques, our Doctors are able to help correct the shape of your nose, whilst making sure it still looks and feels natural.

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that is made naturally by the body and found in the skin and joints, and its function is to provide volume and hydration.

Not everyone is blessed with a perfectly straight nose, in fact, many of us have bumps and dips on our nose.

These are often noticed when we look at pictures of ourselves from the side.

By using tiny droplets of hyaluronic acid filler, our doctors can make some incredible transformations by filling in dips or camouflaging bumps.

Bumps

I've always been unhappy with my nose. I used to edit all my pictures to make my nose look straighter.

I thought about surgery, but decided against it because of the cost, risks and downtime.

I'm so happy with the results of my non-surgical rhinoplasty, I can't stop checking it in the mirror.

There was no bruising or swelling after the procedure and  Dr Jamie made me feel relaxed and comfortable.

Tip

Some people are unhappy with their nose because it points downwards which can make it appear bigger or give it a 'hooked nose' appearance.

While others have a straight nose, but want to raise the tip of their nose to make it appear smaller.

FAQs

How long do nose fillers take to carry out?

The procedure itself takes less around 30 minutes, but this is after a thorough consultation.

How long do non-surgical rhinoplasty results last?

12-24 months depending on your body's ability to break down the filler.

Fillers placed in the nose tend to last longer than fillers placed in other areas, because of the lack of movement.

We have found that people who smoke and use sun beds tend to metabolise filler quicker than others.

Does a non-surgical rhinoplasty hurt?

We do everything we can to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.

We also apply numbing cream to the before any injections, and the fillers also contain a numbing medication.

Who can have a non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Not everyone is an ideal candidate for a non-surgical rhinoplasty.

It's important you go to an experienced medical practitioner, who will be able do a thorough assessment of the shape of your nose and advise you whether fillers, or surgery is the better option.

Is a non-surgical rhinoplasty safe?

We only use the highest quality hyaluronic acid fillers from the most reputable brands for all our procedures.

Hyaluronic acid is made and broken down in the body naturally, and has been used in aesthetics for around 35 years.

Any needle entering the skin, means there is a risk of bruising and infection,

but as doctors we know the importance of carrying out procedures in a sterile environment to reduce this risk.

Although it is rare, there have been cases of filler being injected into arteries which has blocked the blood supply to the skin.

The great thing about hyaluronic acid fillers is, if a complication was to happen, or you were unhappy with your results - then our doctors can inject a dissolving agent to completely dissolve the filler.

There is a very rare complication of blindness with filler injections, unfortunately - this is irreversible.

Despite the risks above, a non-surgical rhinoplasty is still considered less risky that surgery, with less down time.

Can I have a non-surgical rhinoplasty whilst pregnant?

Unfortunately, you can't have any filler or Botox whilst pregnant or breast feeding. There aren't any studies showing it's harmful, but who would willingly sign up to one of them anyway? Enjoy your time off with your new family addition and we'll be happy to see you back in clinic later on.

Who can perform filler injections?

Although it is not against the law in England for anyone to buy and inject filler, we strongly believe that aesthetic procedures should only be carried out by a registered medical professional.

This is because 1 day courses simply are not enough to learn the anatomy, safe and sterile techniques, and medical knowledge required to recognise complications early and treat them.

All out treatments are carried out by fully qualified, registered and insured Doctors.
