What is chin

and jawline enhancement?

Chin and Jawline treatments are becoming increasingly popular

for both men and woman.

The Rejuvenation Doctors are extremely proud to only use the highest quality brands of hyaluronic acid fillers and most up to date techniques to ensure you get results that looks and feels natural.

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that is made naturally by the body and found in the skin and joints, and its function is to provide volume and hydration.

One of the most popular treatments for men, is to widen and enhance the angle of the mandible of the jaw. Another great way to masculinise the male face is to widen the chin to give a more 'square' look to the jawline.

Many women also get jawline filler to add a little definition, and that's fine when it's done correctly, so make sure you go to a practitioner who respect the natural proportions of the face, because too much in the wrong place - and you may end up with a masculine looking face.

For women, we often advise chin filler. When placed more in the centre of the chin, it can help create that 'V' shaped face most women desire as it can help the face appear slimmer.

Contour

I always thought these kind of things were for women, but then I started hearing my mates talking about getting cheek and jawline filler, and it looked good.

So happy I gave it a try, it was relatively painless, I felt more comfortable having the treatment done in the comfort of my own house and the results are incredible.

Jowl

Rejuvenation

As we age, there are several areas of our face where bone production starts to decrease and the angle of the jaw is one of them. You may have also noticed the appearance of jowls, which is the sagging of skin below your chin/jawline.

Our Doctors may advise clients who want to improve their jowls to also have their cheeks revolumised. This is because jowls are caused by the loss of mid-face volume and the descent of fat pads, that can be 'lifted' with cheek rejuvenation.

Then, by adding hyaluronic acid fillers in the chin, in front of the jowls and at the angle of the jawline our Doctors are able to lift and disguise jowls giving you a rejuvenated appearance.

FAQs

How long do jawline/chin fillers take to carry out?

The procedure itself takes less around 30-45 minutes, but this is after a thorough consultation.

How long do jawline/chin fillers last?

9-18 months depending on your body's ability to break down the filler.

We have found that people who smoke and use sun beds tend to metabolise filler quicker than others.

Do jawline/chin fillers hurt?

We do everything we can to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. We use a combination of needles and cannulas (which are a blunt metal device that pushes its way through your lips instead of cutting, like needles do).

We also apply numbing cream to the areas we are going to inject.

Can men get jawline fillers?

Absolutely! Men can have whatever aesthetic treatments they want.

Cheek fillers and Jawline fillers are becoming increasingly more common amongst men who want to achieve a chiselled masculine look.

It's important you choose the right practitioner though, otherwise you could end up with feminine cheek bones.

Are jawline fillers safe?

We only use the highest quality hyaluronic acid fillers from the most reputable brands. Hyaluronic acid is made and broken down in the body naturally, and has been used in aesthetics for around 35 years.

Any needle entering the skin, means there is a risk of bruising and infection, but as doctors we know the importance of carrying out procedures in a sterile environment.

It is rare, but there have been cases of filler being injected into arteries and blocking the blood supply to the skin.

The great thing about hyaluronic acid fillers is, that if a complication was to happen, or you were unhappy with your results - then as doctors we can inject a dissolving agent to completely dissolve the filler.

Can I have fillers whilst pregnant?

Unfortunately, you can't have any filler or Botox whilst pregnant or breast feeding. There aren't any studies showing it's harmful, but who would willingly sign up to one of them anyway? Enjoy your time off with your new family addition and we'll be happy to see you back in clinic later on.

Who can perform filler injections?

Although it is not against the law in England for anyone to buy and inject filler, we strongly believe that aesthetic procedures should only be carried out by a registered medical professional. This is because 1 day courses simply are not enough to learn the anatomy, safe and sterile techniques, and medical knowledge required to recognise complications early and treat them.

All out treatments are carried out by fully qualified, registered and insured Doctors.
